Artist statement
My practice operates at the intersection of art, presence, and code, exploring the relationship between the human, technology, and spirituality. I define art as “plastic thought”: a swing between ideas and aesthetics that does not merely represent reality but vibrates to expand consciousness. My current research seeks to recover the “magical” currents inherent in being human. Guided by the archetype of the Sibyl—a figure bridging the invisible and visible worlds—I integrate three decades of experience in software engineering with a deep inquiry into ancestral wisdom.
My creative process is dialectical, moving between the algorithmic and the intuitive. On one hand, I use “Binary Jumps” (interactions with AI and code) to interrogate the digital landscape. Artworks like God is in the bugs and # Selfie v2 embrace glitch aesthetics and medical data to critique performative online identity, revealing that error is often the spark of evolution. Conversely, my lens-based work relies on “drifting” and meditative listening techniques I call “ talking with trees”. In series like The Whisper of the Nymphs, I treat the camera as a tool to capture the energetic essence of a space, creating “time capsules” that lock a specific state of presence into the image.
Ultimately, my work aims to unify these seemingly distinct worlds—the analytical precision of the machine and the healing potential of the spirit. I create transmedia environments, books, and interactive platforms that function as " cracks in the walls of the cavern," inviting the viewer to look beyond the surface. Whether through the logic of a script or the silence of a photograph, my goal is to create a vibration that resonates with the viewer’s own interiority, helping us walk the path back to ourselves.
