Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy

Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy is an extremely subtle, non‑intrusive, gentle, and effective bodywork that blends scientific techniques with intuition and sensitivity, within a space of meditative awareness.

Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy facilitates the client’s system healing according to its own treatment plan using its own vital force. It is a listening‑based therapy that rests in silence until it hears the intelligence of life that inhabits all beings. This life always knows how to find health: a state of greater fluidity and harmony in the body.

The therapist creates a space where that force can find a new point of balance, a more favorable state for physical, mental, and spiritual health.

The therapist “does not do”, listens, and accompanies the wisdom already within you. In this process BCST increases your self‑healing capacity with your own energy.

In biodynamic language that vital force is called “Breath of Life”, which transmutes in the body through cerebrospinal fluid, becoming a power that is distributed throughout the body. The breath of life is the original force of life, an energy that connects us to our origin, to the source of being and the totality where there is no separation.

The Breath of Life is a force expressed in a slow, constant, and cyclical movement, which we call “Tide” or “Primary Breath”. Training in this discipline allows one to perceive the primary breath, or the “Tides”, and base evaluation and treatment on them.

A biodynamic session is performed on a massage table, with clothing, with very gentle hand contact, almost without movement.

Sessions last about an hour and consist of four parts: a brief initial conversation and three phases of still contact where the practitioner’s hands remain in a fixed position.

The practitioner does not manipulate or channel energy into the client. The goal is to maintain a safe, judgment‑free space where the forces that organize the client’s system can express themselves, and through that expression find a new way to reorganize. This enhances self‑healing.

Pain and trauma often leave a mark on the body’s energetic flows. This mark can be alleviated, even if the client does not consciously remember the event that caused it.

I am a student of the Spanish Institute of Biodynamic Craniosacral. The approach of my teachers combines the visions of Andrew Taylor Still, William G. Sutherland, Rollin Becker, James S. Jealous, John Upledger, Franklyn Sills, Ray Castellino and Peter A. Levine.

The training, 900 hours, is accredited by the Spanish Association of Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy (AETBC), recognized by the Swiss International Institute (ICSB), and follows the standards of the International Association of Biodynamic Training (IABT).
