God is in the
bugs: any real biological evolution is the consequence of an error in a DNA copy.
Contrary to common understanding, evolution is not based on any intention of the being which is “more adapted to the environment”. It never wanted to be more adapted, there is no will, it just happened. It’s more adapted or has an advantage over others as a consequence of an error during its growth. Some cells make mistakes and it has a more sensitive eye to infrared light.
“Computers are bringing about a situation that’s like the invention of harmony. Subroutines are like chords. No one would think of keeping a chord to himself. You’d give it to anyone who wanted it. You’d welcome alterations of it. Subroutines are altered by a single punch. We’re getting music made by man himself, not just one man.”
How would a robot imagine a human face? “I dreamed about a human being” is like spying into a robot’s brain.
“I dreamed about a human being” is part of a project exploring the use of artificial intelligence as applied to photography by using online open source code and data. The project already has a database of 56 million images. We have freely accessible amazing tools and databases of gigantic images, but have not yet fully understood what we can do with them or what it means that they are there.
Reviewing the drawer of memories I found the final project I did for my degree of «University Analyst of
Information Systems», an intermediate degree in the engineering program at the National Technological University.
It is a
heuristic approach using
geo‑referenced information for the classic
«
Traveling Salesman Problem». The intention is for it to be easy to
implement in a business environment with standard SQL servers.
It has been available online for a long time and I have wanted to rescue it.
