“NFTs for Artists” are talks we organize in collaboration with Casa Planas and with the help of several artists, curators, and galleries to open a debate and build a community to collectively approach NFT technology. All events in the series are free.
The first meeting will be on April 27 at 7:00 p.m.
It will be a guided class where I’ll introduce the basic concepts of blockchain technology while walking through practical steps so that by the end of the class you can publish an NFT and put it up for sale.
For this reason we’ll do it remotely, and it would be ideal if you could follow the steps with me. Below is a form to learn a bit more about you and to send you the connection link. Signing up is not mandatory; at the time of the class we’ll post the connection link on social media.
The second meeting still has no defined date but will be a talk about the ethical aspects of using this technology. Teaching how to create NFTs without an ethical, political, and environmental context would be like giving a loaded gun to a child. Although the first class has a practical focus, it is only a pedagogical tool.
After these two fundamental steps we can venture into an aesthetic debate in a third meeting and a market discussion in a fourth.
The documentation for the meetings is here.
